TECHNICAL SAFETY & RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Job Dimension

SUBCONTRACTOR will perform the following tasks:
  • Identify the failure modes driving to the loss of a function or performance for overall system, subsystems and/or components with underlying failure mechanisms or causes of the ETH Blanket.
  • The failure modes and failure mechanisms shall be evaluated during all the product life cycle: design, material/components qualification, manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, normal operation and retrieval.
  • The assessment of these failure modes will be done in terms of their consequences, failure likelihood and associated risk. The findings will be listed in the Risk Register which shall be updated during development and qualification process. Also the risk assessment will be the basis for defining and prioritizing the activities in the technology development and qualification program which will lead to meet a TRL level 4 for the entire system at the end of 2018.
  • Apply system engineering approach to define the TRL level of the ETH-Blanket and define/verify that the considered system qualification program will lead to a TRL level 4 for the entire system at the end of 2018.
  • RAM study: validate and verify that the ETH Blanket satisfies the specified requirements, like design life objective, maintainability & availability strategies and risk mitigation.
  • The RAM study plan will be based on the technology development and qualification process of New Product Development (NPD) which will lead to a TRL level 4 for the entire system at the end of 2018.

BASIC DOCUMENTATION
The basic documentation provided to SUBCONTRACTOR is:
  • ETH Blanket Basis of Design
  • ETH Blanket Breakdown Structure and Functional Analysis
  • Component Technical Specification if available, depending on the development progress
  • Risk Assessment reports and risk register from previous phase if available
  • Installation Method Statement, including Installation HAZID report

PROCEDURES - METHODOLOGY
Project Procedures, the State of Art, as well as the Quality Procedures applicable to the relevant project, shall be implemented, in particular for:
  • Implementation of New Product Development Process



Required profile

Documents issued by the SUBCONTRACTOR shall have the required quality according to above defined tasks, in particular:
  • Technical quality
  • Content quality (in relation with information contained in documentation)
  • All documents will be written in the contract language
