INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

Job dimension

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Play an active role in determining the Discipline Commissioning work preparation and execution of the project's systems throughout the different Phases of the project.
  • Prepare and issue all the specific discipline commissioning deliverables as per the project master document register.
  • As part of the preparation phase, define the temporary means required on each work location in order to perform the precommissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Use EASYPLANT (Project Completion tool), for the preparation, execution and monitoring of discipline Commissioning activities of the project throughout all Phases.
  • Review and customize all discipline EASYPLANT quality control forms that will be used for the execution phase in order to fit the Project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare the discipline Inspection Test Plans and review the population of the quality control forms in EASYPLANT.
  • Define the system and subsystem breakdown approach for the corresponding discipline and assign the correct system/subsystem for each tagged equipment listed within EASYPLANT.
  • Ensure that all HSE and Permit to Work Requirements are in place for the discipline requirements during all phases of the Project.
  • Ensure there are sufficient, suitably qualified discipline Commissioning personnel from the JV within the Commissioning team during all phases of the project.
  • Ensure that adequate discipline resources, manpower and test equipment are available from the JV to perform the discipline commissioning activities, throughout all Phases of the Project, to maintain the project schedule requirements.
  • Maintain and Preserve discipline related equipment during the Precommissioning and Commissioning Phases of the Project.
  • Define the list of temporary equipments and consumables to be purchased and delivered on each work location. Ensure that discipline related temporary equipment and Commissioning consumables are available during the Precommissioning and Commissioning Phases of the Project.
  • Define and review the list of precommissioning and commissioning spare parts to be purchased and delivered on each work location. Ensure that the spares are utilised and maintained during the Precommissioning and Commissioning Phases of the Project.



Required profile

  • Must have previous experience on Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Industry (specifically LNG) in the same position. He/She must mastery the discipline knowledge and sequence of activities.
  • Must have a recognised Technical qualification for the Position.
  • Have confirmed experiences and knowledge to carryout efficiently and safely precommissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
  • The commissioning engineer must be skilled in the following competencies:
  • HSSE / Personal Safety/ Incident Classification, Investigation and Reporting / Teamwork & Cooperation / People Leadership / Managing for Results
  • Anglais fluent
  • Competences HSSE / Personal safety / Incident classification.
