FLNG TRAINING COORDINATOR HS

Job Dimension

Purpose:
  • Identifies technical training needs in alignment with FLNG contract requirements, facilitates and coordinates required training, facilitating training delivery to operations and maintenance personnel at all required phases of the project and all required sites.
  • Develops, oversees / administers a competency assurance system for offshore operations and maintenance personnel.

Accountabilities and end results:
  • Leads in the development of an operation training program;
  • Closely integrates with Operations team to ensure training is delivered as required when required;
  • Direct liaison with vendors to ensure training material is appropriate for course;
  • Training planning/mobilization/materials, including Vendor, to ensure courses are delivered in alignment with the schedule;
  • Implements a competency system for offshore operations and maintenance;
  • Administers and facilitates competency assessment program.

Primary Functions:
  • Supports and satisfies the policies, goals, efforts and programs of the project; Health, Safety and Environmental Management System. Ensures HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility;
  • Plans, organises and coordinates Operations and Maintenance training as per the contract requirements;
  • Plans, organises and coordinates all training required to support the Operations and Maintenance project goals;
  • Critical input and advice to the selection and organisation and facilitation of Vendor training for the project;
  • Plans, organises and coordinates all required Marine training;
  • Plans, organises and where required delivers HSE training;
  • Delivers specific training if required;
  • Organises and aids in coordination of OTS (Operations Training Simulator) with OTS/Process Training Manager;
  • Development and implementation and administration of the competency assurance system;
  • Key input and reporting to the OR&A program and its goals.





Required profile
  • Proven background in the organisation and facilitation of training and competency programs associated with large scale offshore oil and gas projects;
  • Proven HSE leadership and HSE training experience;
  • Formal training and competency assessment qualifications i.e. NVQ/SVQ, TAA etc;
  • 10+ years of experience in the Oil & gas Industry training management field;
  • Strong experience in organising statutory Marine training STCW etc;
  • Excellent communications skills and experience working with various cultures;
  • Leadership roles in personnel and people development management.

Reporting Relationships:
  • Directly reports to the Training Manager
  • Indirect reporting to the JV O&M Manager

Working Locations:
  • Paris Operating Centre (approx. 14 months)
  • Geoje, South Korea (approx. 20 months)
