Job dimension

Key activities specific to "internal vendor" (EMS, Subsea Infrastructure, Flexible Product)

• Liaise with key Discipline Engineers & Package Leads to ensure that inspection requirements are communicated to internal vendor (including COMPANY and Certifying Authority requirement as applicable);

• Support key Discipline Engineers & Package Leads in reviewing internal vendor Quality Documentation mainly MQP & QCP;

• Conduct regular & spot checks to ensure roll-out of inspections as per MQP;

• Monitor performance & advise adjusting inspection level during the execution of the purchase order as required;

• Support in the review of the inspection plan and notification process;

• Review inspection reports on an ad-hoc basis (risk-based sampling), check that correct and up to date documents are used and that actions resulting from DER, TQ and NCR + CR processes are implemented;

• Liaise with key [Fab/] Discipline Engineers / Package Leads to ensure that Internal Vendor has taken necessary actions to report, identify and segregate nonconformities, to implement approved mitigations and to perform necessary inspections to close out nonconformities [When deviations are Classified as Deviation for Action and as Non-Conformance];

• Check enforcement of the inspection release process under Internal Vendor responsibility

• Follow-up OWL / punch list items until close out;

• Conduct spot check to ensure MRBs are validated accordingly and that of QC records are complete.

Other activities:

• Contribute to the various equipment criticality rating assessments

• Assess answers to QF 19 as well as quality & relevance of information submitted

• Follow-up a set of suppliers, including Quality performance, monitor quality trend, propose mitigation measures when required and feed back to Supply Chain group;

• Maintain the project quality audit schedule & participate to / lead audits as appropriate;

• Analyse (quality) performance metrics and trends and propose mitigations;

• Provide expert analysis, guidance and support to improve processes, define mitigations and conduct RCAs as and when required

• Maintain the Vendor/Subcontractor non-conformances register and liaise with relevant disciplines for expediting & proper closeout.

• Provide advice on concessions request

• Check consistency and implementation of corrective actions from Vendors/Subcontractors through spot checks & audits;

• Support the project Disciplines Engineers/Leads in the review of Quality Control related procedures;

• Support quality department for consolidation, standardization and any other activities as required

Required profile

Master degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science

Minimum of 2 years in engineering position involving interface with vendors & suppliers ideally on a Subsea project

Sound understanding of engineering principles

Good written & spoken skills in English

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 would be a plus

Knowledge of the Company Quality Management System would be a plus

Good skills in Microsoft office tools

Experience in internal & external QMS audits would be a plus

Good communication skills

Experienced in external stakeholder's communication & interface (Vendor / Sub-Contractors / Client)
