MARINE OPERATION LEADER

Is in overall charge of the FSO and is the CONTRACTOR SITE representative for Marine Operations.

• is responsible for the safety of the FSO and associated terminal operations.

• is responsible for operations of loading, storage and off-loading of crude oil.

• reports daily to the COMPANY's Terminal Superintendant on all relevant operational matters.

• The content and format of these reports will be decided at a later date.

• Manages and co-ordinates all activities under Contractor's responsibility, with the help of this department heads and MARPOL requirements.

• is fully responsible for berthing export tankers to the FSO

• is also FSO Loading Master

• is the legal representative person for the CONTRACTOR on board the installations

Main Functions:

• FSO marine operations management,

• Export tanker liaison and scheduling,

• Crude loading and storing, off-loading, outflow monitoring,

• FSO stability, ballasting, water, diesel oil and other products monitoring,

• Organisation and management of specific maintenance operations,

• Spare parts management for logistics and marine equipment,

• also ensure Loading Master duties and replace the Berthing Master or Cargo Superintendant when necessary

• Sea and air transport operations,

• Radio transmissions, arriving vessels and helicopter guidance, shore base information,

• Procedures application, safety courses and training exercises including vessels and helicopter rotations, emergency responses,

• Assistance to COMPANY




Required profile


Valid STCW95-endorsed certificate

Valid British DTp Class I (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency or equivalent plus equal Certificate to satisfy flag requirements.

Valid dangerous cargo endorsement (Petroleum)

Crude Oil Washing & Inert Gas Generator Certification

Minimum 10 years service on tankers of which at least 5 years Chief Officer or Master of VLCC's

Ship to ship transfer operations, including pilotage and ship handling

Fluent English

Familiar with PC's and contractor's software

COURSE

Piloting course,

Maritime and fireman safety course,

Metering and volume calculations training,

Offshore survival course.
